Buffalo WHR-HP-G300N Wireless problem
I have new Buffalo WHR-HP-G300N with DD-WRT and I have weird problem. Sometimes the Wireless SSID disappears and the router show that every thing is working fine. the SSID appear after turn off and on or after pressing AOSS Button. Whats the problem?

In the advance Wireless option, I made the fallowing changes:
Tx power 999 dbm ( I think it was 20 dbm
Antenna Gain 999 dbi ( I don't remember what it was)
TX Antenna Chains 1+2+3 (it was 1+2)
RX Antenna Chains 1+2+3 (it was 1+2)

After these changes, I notice that the signal strength is higher and I don't know if the problem is related or the problem is with the unit

Well, increasing the transmitter power frequently doesn't accomplish increasing the range, and many times it will impact range in a negative manner. Remember, range is a combination of transmit power AND receive sensitivity. The best way to increase the range is with hi-gain antennas, which serve to increase the signal in both directions.

Tinkering with the antenna chains will sometimes help, though it can also make things worse. The only real way to find out is to try all the combinations.

the range is enough but I want to know the cause of the disappearance of the wireless signal. The signal dispear somtimes as the router is turn off. I am in the same room as the router.

I doubt that's transmit power, sounds more like interference, or maybe the router has a hardware issue.

the SSID appears again after turn off and on or after pressing AOSS Button so I don't think it is interfarance.

I notice something on the satus page. the tx power is 21dbm and I once see it 15dbm.

Hmm... I just checked, and my TX power on this TP-Link router is 30dbm, I'm running DD-WRT firmware, that's their default.

tx power is hardware related to software. The max Tx power is not mentioned in the Buffalo WHR-HP-G300N datasheet.

How very strange. I just unpacked and plugged in my Router YESTERDAY. It is a WHR-HP-G300N. And I have facing the exact SAME problem. The router just disappears. SSID and All its no where to be found, except if I walk up to it and power cycle or hit the AOSS button, it comes back to life. Is there a HW bug? or some kind of DoS vulnerability here anyone heard of. Namo, did you contact the company tech support with this issue? any results?

Did you try updating the firmware to the latest version. Many times, issues like this are resolved in a firmware update.
