There are several laptops and a desktop on our home network. The desktop is connected via ethernet, but all of the laptops and iPods, etc are connected via wifi. One of the laptops has had an issue connecting to the internet ever since it was purchased about a year ago. When there is signal, it will connect to the network just fine like a normal laptop, but as soon as the signal drops below 100% it can no longer access the internet. When I troubleshoot the connection, it says that the DSL modem is having problems connecting to the internet. All of the other computers have no problem though! Help please!

Make sure you have the latest wireless driver. If it is an integrated adapter get the driver from the laptop manufacturer's web site.

If the laptop is running Windows please show ...

Start, Run, CMD, OK to open a command prompt:
(For Vista or 7 type CMD in the Search box after Start)

Type the following command:

IPCONFIG /ALL

[Note that there is no space between the slash and ALL.]

Right click in the command window and choose Select All, then hit Enter.
Paste the results in a message here.

If necessary use a text file and removable media to copy the results to a computer with internet access.

Also, if Windows, please attach a screen shot of the Networks page of the Xirrus Wi-Fi Inspector for the less than 100% time.
