New Signature Limitations
Due to past abuse of the member signature option and in order to keep a clean experience without too much distraction, Tech Support Guy will be implementing new restrictions on the use of member signatures effective today. These restrictions will be:

- Limit to 3 lines including blank lines
- Limit to size 3 font
- Quote/code boxes will be disabled (though you may use the quote symbols).

Please take a moment to update your signature by clicking on My Account at the top of any page and then Edit Signature on the left. (Or just click here for a shortcut.)

All members will have 30 days to bring their signatures into compliance. After July 10th, Administrators will remove signatures that don't meet these new standards as we become aware of them.

Thanks very much for your cooperation and understanding!

Alight, why not it's not like the little font saying the library is a wiki is going to get much more poeple there anyway.

Now I'm down to 1 line.

Ok, off of the pathetic humor attempt.

I have always found large signature sections distracting, and many times, it becomes hard to tell where the signature ends, and the next post starts.

Too, I am of the belief that you have one chance to get someone to look at your message. With one line, you get to make more impact than having three to five lines; hoping everyone will read them.

One question on this... Is there any way an icon can be created labeled Support TSG, and that it can be added to the signature line in addition to the allowed one line? That would bring consistency and unity to all the users, allow people to promote contributing, and still let them have a personal line for themselves?
It could go to the thread explaining the needs and stuff; possibly post some testimonials.

Just a thought.
