iphoen 4s consuming lot of power
Hello friends

recently I downloaded some applications on my iphone 4s, most are GPS locator, ebooks, and reminder that make alarms in certain specific time i set, since then I noticed the battery run off in less than 24 hrs, with just few phone calls, no video calls or TV etc,
I turned the alarm off, but thebattery still off so quicky as before,

Pls advise if any idea in this matter,
Thank you so much in advance,
Regards

Have you tried turning the GPS off? THAT takes a lot of power connecting/disconnecting all the time.

I am unable to digest that despite such blunders and problems in iPhone 4, how Apple managed to get over 37 million iphones sold in the final quarter of 2011

My advice to you is read the new iPhone manual carefully because there have been some changes in the application downloading mechanism. That might also help you getting rid of such problems in future. Stay Blessed !

I keep Wifi turned off to preserve battery life.

But perhaps the issue is that too many apps are running in the background and you just don't realize it.

Tap the home button twice.
At the bottom of the screen you’ll see a row app icons. These are the apps that are running. Slide your finger to move forward or backward through the apps. Chances are you’ll have more than the four that first show up.
Touch one of the app icon’s and hold your finger on it until they all start wiggling. A small red circle will appear at the top left of the icon.
Tap on the red circle and the app icon will disappear. The app is now no longer running in the background.
When you’re done shutting things down tap the home button and the apps will stop wiggling.
Tap the home button again to return to your home screen.
These steps will work even if you are currently using an app. In other words, you don’t have to be on the home screen to bring up the row of running apps.

CheeseBall81 >> many thanks, i actually I knew this step, but I did not apply it, as it will be someothing that we often forget it,
I was talking witha friend today, he told me there is an App they call it apps killer or something like that, I am not how much to buy this app. and how efficient to help shut down the app every time,

another point, today my batter run off when I was leaving office, just got home and i started charging, tried to call out and the the OS hanged .. stuck there and no call out whie showing a scree that is calling, I tried to call my number alsoe I heard ringing but not showing any incoming calls..!!
I took it to the company, they told me they need to upgrade the OS5, and they told me this is a common issue with iphone 4s, anyone experienced such matter? plz share your experience,

once again, manythanls for all efforts, thanks Tech guys

Your friend must have an Android phone. There's no way Apple would allow any kind of "killer" program in its App Store.

The iPhone 4S shipped with iOS 5, so either you don't have a 4S, or whoever you took it to doesn't know much about iPhones either.

What is the full name of the application you're looking at in the App Store? I would be very surprised to find any application like this there. Apple has to approve all apps, and there's just no way they'd allow something like this.

Either you don't have an iPhone 4S or you took it to someone who didn't know what they were doing. The iPhone 4S shipped with iOS 5 already installed. There was an update to fix battery issues, so obviously you should install any updates.

Otherwise, you've been given the best advice. Location based apps will consume significantly more power.
