Fractals, Gradients and Kaleidoscopes
Post you Fractals, Gradients and Kaleidoscopes here.

Here is a new one I did in KPT5-FRAXFLAME and Flaming Pear-Flixify and Flood plugins in PhotoImpact 8.
I then added the frame in PhotoImpact 8 also.

KPT5 is not free.

Flaming Pear has some free plugins but not the one I used.

Fractal Explorer is a freeware.

Aros Fractals is a freeware.

Apophysis is a freeware.

Others here you can look at.

Thay're cool hewee! I'm downloading the fractal program as I type... by far the easiest I've found to use (for a beginner) is Tierazon so far though but I'll give anything a go

The Mind-Boggling Fractals Lite 2.3 is very cool.

Aros Fractals and ApophysisI like too but Ultra Fractal 3.04 let you export in other formats and you can use psd and save it. Nice because you can get just the image and take out the backgound layer.
Seen some really cool ones in the new Aros beta version.

How did you take out the background and layer yours?

On mine I opened the fractal picture in Photoshop, covered with a new solid layer, selected eraser and then the heart shaped brush and clicked on the layer revealing the fractal below and then applied a style to the later!

OK so there was a lot more to the fractal to start with. Don't use Photoshop but I think I understand how you did it.

Yeah, it's like cutting out a stencil on a plain layer and putting it over the fractal layer... if that makes sense. Kinda like those wax scraping pics you do when you're a kid.

I've tried alot of the other graphics programs but (imho) nothing comes close to beating Photoshop.
