Howdy redoak

nice pictures...did you take any of them or are they mostly from the link?

Would you like me to merge this thread with your other one or maybe just close the other one?

More pics 1-1-05 and best wishes for 2005 {redoak}
I am glad so many are enjoying my postings. Some clarifications: All the pics come from the WeatherUnderground site or other websites; e.g., "Astonomy Today." (I am not 'into' photogrphy); second, the 'titles' are mine and given when I 'save' a pic.

"Buck": Although my other thread came first, I believe the title I gave to this one is more appropriate at this time. However, if you can merge those earlier posting into this thread, that would be fine. Thanks for your interest.

More pics attached. {redoak}

Howdy again redoak

While I enjoy the images you have posted, there are sites all over the web with great images...

The real point of this "Photo Album" section is for images that members have taken themselves with their own cameras not photos that are readily available on the net...

Sorry if I sound like I'm being sour grapes but...

Posting an occasional image is cool... but post after post with nothing but images you have downloaded, from any site, is not in the spirit of the Photo Album forum

A link in your signature to your favorite image/picture gathering site would be cool...

Note:

You are certainly not breaking any rules...I just thought I would point out the reason this section of the forum was created...

"Buck": I appreciate learning the primary reason for the forum. The responses appearing indicate there are a number of folks who do appreciate my postings; no one has complained. I am in a quandry- do I stop, continue, limit my daily post to one pic, post only once a week. Please advise. I only want to add to the enjoyment of others who appreciate fine photos. In affect I am an editor.

I have been trying to figure out how to convert the two lines of url info in my 'signature' to hyperlinks. I will search again today. A clue from you will be appreciated.

Thanks Buck for the link
I have a friend visiting from Alaska and he's an amateur slr photographer. Last night he was showing me the Panasonic DMC-FZ20 he's going to buy. I might even consider buying it sometime in the future. All I have now is a plastic freebie Earthlink gave me years ago. After looking at some of the galleries thought I'd share with this thread.
