Hi again brindle

That's all I am is an "amateur slr photographer" ...Fuji S2

The Panasonic looks like a pretty good camera...although I'd be inclined to stick with a major camera manufacture

Might have a quick look at the Nikon D-70 or the Canon 20D

excellent entry level, true DSLR cameras

I had a D70 that I sold to my Dad...It was very nice camera...can't speak for the 20D but it gets great reviews

Have you found Maggies Farm yet...

Wish I could go with you...although Dylan probably doesn't like the cold...

I have an uncle that lives out your way...He has a couple of books...he's a fitness nut and outdoorsman... beautiful country out there ...Never been further than Colorado myself...maybe when I retire...In my dreams...

Yes, I'm sure Dylan doesn't, probably likes the east coast just fine. I'll go anyway. Where's your uncle live?
If you haven't been to the pacific northwest I must say it's beautiful. Can even get lost here if need be, just ask D.B. Cooper if you can find him.

I will continue to make posts of pics I have downloaded. I will be judicious in choosing how many and how often.

jimi/buck: I will have to begin putting prints thru my scanner in order to post what few pics I have taken myself. Be patient! In the meanwhile, enjoy the pics of others that will come along here. {redoak}
