Understood and will now be heeded but I thought it was just conversation about the planes mission.

As to the Rafale , a really great aircraft , the Best western Naval fighter IMO .
It is extremely capable despite its appearance of small size .
For example , it is faster than a F-18-SH --- much longer ranged { extremely important in a naval fighter } -- carries more weight { fuel and weapons } and is said to be able to out-manuever the F-18. . In short , better all around performance .
For comparison sake here is some info >
F-18SH >>> 1190 MPH
Rafale >>>> 1320 MPH
--------------------
F-18 Combat radius >>>> 390 NMI { 449 miles }
Rafale Combat radius >>>> 1000 + NMI
-------------------
F-18 Weapons and fuel load >>>> 17750 lbs max .
Rafale Weapons and fuel load >>>> 21,000 lbs max
-------------------
Also has a pretty neat 30MM cannon, and a first class aiming system --accurate . Its fired in very short bursts { like the Russian 30MM's } . Very different than a spray and pray 20MM system , and much lighter .
There are other differences that I will not go into , but the Rafale is a real performer.

The Rafale is a fine performer then and interesting to compare the two .Man, I would love to capture some photos of that baby with my Canon 400 5.6 .
I missed getting to Charleston seeing the Blue Angels perform and having the Cooper River Bridge in the background with the Hornet .

I just got these two YouTube videos in an Email and thought I'd Share it here.
I got nervous just watching carrier landings on a pitching deck.

Part 1 .. Part 2
