any suggestions?
I recently made this as a self test of my PS skills (outcome? mid beginner to low- normal )
and I'm looking for some ideas on how to make it better

=)

Is this anything like you had in mind?
I used Paint Shop Pro. I selected all of the brown you had with the Magic Wand and added a texture to it. Then I used the Lightness Down Tool to darken certain areas. Finally, I used the Soften Tool to blend in any areas that looked jagged.
You did a great job with it!!
