Lechuguilla Jewel of the Underground
I just found this book with the same title as this thread and thought I would share.

The images I found online do not do it justice, but maybe some of you are better at searching than I am.

This cave is really amazingly beautifull. The photos in the book are far better than the one above.

Very big .bmp images that took a long time to load even with cable.
You should resize then and or convert them to .jpg.

Sorry Heewee,

I'll edit when I get the chance - the images have smaller versions on the same webpage. Unfortunately those aren't as clear. The hardcopy book has even better images.

That's pretty cool, Bandit

So where is this cave?
I've been to the caverns in Virginia. They're cool, too, but not as beautiful from what I can see.

Crap, I waited too long and missed out on the 'edit' button. Eh. Oh Well.

Lechuguilla is in southeastern New Mexico, by Carlsbad Caverns. Really does make me want to go spelunking.

There's some caves closer to where I live. There's some caverns in Redding, CA. Speaking of which, there's actually a mountain with a bunch of obsidian on it appropriately named, Glass Mountain somewhere in Northern California.

I'll post pics tomorrow
