Motorcyle Season!
Well, we are out & about on our fun motorcyle every chance we can get... here's a picture from last week... its Diana Lake, BC.
Planning a trip to Alaska in 12 days!!
Where are YOU going?
I apparently can not attach pictures anymore... or maybe its the site is malfunctioning? Tried to update my membership with a donation, in case that was the problem, and that did not work either... will attach the picture when I get it worked out.
Sorry.

Error Message:
PHP Script /home/billing/public_html/payment/techguy/phpauthnet_aim.php is protected by SourceGuardian and requires file ixed.lin.4.4.2.pxp.
Please read SourceGuardian protected scripts manual.
I'm wondering if it could be the new Windows Internet Explorer... I couldn't load my picture to putfile either... hmm...

We have a Suzuki V-Strom 1000. Its great for us, because in British Columbia half the roads to remote places are dirt/gravel. We have seen most of the province on it.

Do you have a bike?

That error looks like an error in the payment authorization screen. And that might have bee due to the recent software update on the website rather than your own bwoser. Did you get any errors when trying to upload a picture?

Let me see if I can upload a pic from my desktop ...

I'll see if anything comes up when I hit the post button, but one last check of my attachments before then ...

Yep, it should be there

Looks like it worked.

Here's how I did it:

click on the paperclip icon above the message I was typing
Browse for an image on my desktop
select the image(it must be less than 200k)
click submit

I don't have a bike right now - totalled the last 2 on the same road.
Well, near the same road anyway. One was a DP bike that got tossed off the road (with me still somewhat on it). The other one was a Bandit 600 that lost grop on the rear tire .

The last bike I rode was a Buell Ulysses. TONS of fun!!

I always ask people who've ridden adventure tourers like the Ulysses, MultiStrada and V-Strom if all adventure bikes are so much fun. I've gotten a few yeses. Along with a few explanations that pretty much sum up my experience of taking the power and traction of a street bike and adding the suspension of a Dual Purpose bike - Wheelies forever! Ridiculous Fun!

How has your experience been? How would you compare it to other bikes?

It's from a bike club I used to ride with.

I'll try to find a picture of mine somewhere on the site. Not sure if there are any ...

Here's one with me actually in it.

My bike is camaflauged by virtue of being in the very back behind all the others. That, and it's yellow ... in front of a yellow Mazda Miata

Well, my experience is very limited, as I'm the passenger.
My husband totally agree's with you... and yes, it does do wheelies pretty easily. Lots of tork, that's what I like. And since we live on a dirt road, its sure a lot nicer then the Magna we had before... thought my insides were going to break when we hit wash-board on that one! The V-strom does definately handle the bumps with more grace. It is also a tall bike, which is good for my tall husband. He also likes the V-Rod, but it wouldn't be able to handle the dirt roads...
Sure is fun!

Sure is fun!
Torque is most definitely FUN!!! A lot of the guys who ride in-line fours don't realize that - that's all they've ever ridden

I've ridden that Bandit on dirt roads before and it wasn't quite as confidence inspiring as riding actual dirtbikes in the dirt. The tires and suspension were not the best match(obviously) It sure did leave a long roost though!

FUN is what it's all about. I also like being in nature rather than isolated from it like you are in a car. No air conditioning, no windsheild wipers, no heater, you see, smell taste and sometimes even touch ( ) everything. You feel awake compared to the drowsy feeling of driving a car.

That, and the performance is INCREDIBLE!! My $5,000 motorcycle would easily outaccelerate a $50,000 Corvette in the quarter mile. I've test driven Corvettes before and they were always a let-down compared to motorcycles.

First season in thirteen years
I just sold my bike a couple of weeks back and am regreting it already. There certainly isn't anything quite like it. Unfortunately you can only do so many summer hobbies. My husband and I bought two Acres on a river about fifty miles from here. We also bought an R.V. So it's a change which is nice... I just might end up buying another Bike though. Will see how I feel by summers end...
Happy Trails...

Congrats on your new ventures.
Looks like you will be busy & having lots of good times this summer too. Maybe you will find an affordable bike to bomb around on too.
Thanks for sharing.
