Thank you.
So that means I can only add to that thread in a twenty four hour period as it's editing?

Don't know what the missing bit was but to clarify, if it helps, as I see one of you talking about threads and the other about posts.
You can add to a thread 20 seconds after your last post in that thread, by adding another post. You can't change a post within a thread after 24 hours (that's editing) but you can add one whenever. You could say 'my last post was rubbish, read this one instead'

I've just made things worse haven't I?

I'm afraid so. I've gotten everyone as confused as I was or am. I just don't know anymore...
Three days ago I thought thread was what you used to sew with and a post was something some people were as dumb as (just like I'm feeling now)...
Asprin all around...

Let me try the thread is just the list of replies to the original post and can be added to almost indefinitely .....

An edit to any post has to be done in 24 hours

I like the way you presented your photos, and what great looking Granddaughters they are,you must be very proud of them...

Finally
Thank you. You see I had it all backwards. I thought I'd seen where people said they started a new Thread and so I thought a Post was within a Thread instead of the other way round.
Thanks for sticking with me, I do appreciate it as I really gave everyone the runaround...
And yes, my Grandaughters are wonderful. Actually the pic of Trin's headshots were taken as she sat on my Bay window in the sun. Thought it was kinda cool. They both like having their pictures taken so it's fun. Everyone says they look like me so that makes me proud too.

You do have it right, janetconfused. It's not the other way around.

I'm "posting", within your "thread"...

Want me to smack these guys around for ya?

I look at it as a thread is the stuff on the spool...the posts are the individual markers that the thread winds onto intermittantly ...one and then the next...like threading a sewing machine, and creating one continuous long thread stitch. That is how I visualized it in my head to keep it straight

That way a thread is still something you sew with, and also what we do here, which is like sewing a conversation, with posts along the way

I can see that now...
Heh! I was taking ALL the blame for the confusion but now I see that I had a bit of help...
Please begin the smacking...
I see the spool clearly now. Takes a woman to truly clear things up.

Since I'm still pretty new to TSG, I'll let others direct you. I just wanted to say welcome. Your grandaughters are darling. Wonderful pictures!!!!!!! My name is Betsy. If you see "help4me" in one of the threads, that's Bonnie. And yes, I really am Bonnie's Mom. Visit the firepit, the coffee shop, and the games. Lots of fun.

Thanks for the welcome Bonnie's mom. I'm Shannon's mom (she's not here though). I don't think I'd want to try and keep track of her here. Phew! My sense of direction is laughable. Thanks for direction...Hope to run into you again...

Thank you
Experience is something you don't get until just after you need it.
