Changing default for pictures??
Since you guys are experts on pics, do you know how to change the default browser for pics on my computer?
When you open the browse button to get a picture it seems that the default display is set at details of the pics rather than thumbnails. Can I change that setting?
I want that window to open at thumbnails instead of picture details. I did click thumbnail then close the browse box but it keeps going back to details instead of thumbnails.

Many thanks, I tried that and it still remains the same.
The original box that I am opening is file upload but the options arn't there.
I must open the file folder box in control panel to get those options.
I'm still puzzeled why it isn't working because I think your right it should work.

Yes it's a little complicated.
Let me start from the beginning.
I joined a message board and they allow avatars (it's a picture from your computer)
So the message board opens a box that says you can browse your computer for a picture.
A box opens up similar to a folder box but the heading at the top of the box says folder upload.
When you open the box all the files are listed with details
but there is a bos at the top right (drop down) that I can
click and change it to thumbnails.
But what I want is to change my comuter so that it always opens by default at
thumnails, and I do not know how to do that.
Someone suggested to make the change on file upload and then
open the folder options in control panel.
And make the change there and it should change the default to open all
at thumbnails but it's not working.
Any further suggestions?

Many thanks for any help.

well done thats it.
Now we know what I'm talking about
how do we fix it to be thumbnails by default.
Excellent job...
how do you do that again?
Put a screen shot on the board?
Can't solve my original problem but always wanted to
know how to put the screen shot on a board.

Set the folder for thumbnail view. Hold the control key down and exit the folder by clicking the X with your mouse.

It had always worked for me.

Tried it but that doesn't work either.
Many thanks for the suggestion but we'll find the
answer eventually.
I'm sure it's something simple but it is
frustrating as hell to get it changed to
thumbnails by default.

Anyone have another suggestion?

I tried it again and it seems to work.
Many thanks don't know why it didn't work first time.

It was a sinple problem and they always seem
to be the most frustrating.
Is there other ways to do this?

Many thanks to all those that helped with this
but the bottom line it seems to work now.

Still having a problem with this problem.
When I open the browse box it goes to details.
I wanna goto thumbnails.

It seems when I open the browse box it goes to mypictures files. And when it does that it opens in thumbnails. But I have a small external drive attached to the computer and it is called drive F.
If I do the dropdown menu from the box to open F drive, it goes back to details of all the files but I want thumbnails to appear.
How can I set this to default for thumbnails continuously.
I want to change the default to thumbnails in my folders??
