I was checkin' out some of Whimpy's photos, got to PM'ing about it, and he showed me how to post my own,... so I hope this doesn't crash.

He's convinced y'all would be interested in some pictures of the storm damaga and recovery from Katrina?

I'll see what I can do. Let me start with just a basic attempt to post a photo though,...

Glad to see it's working for you and welcome to the pic posting club.

I think pics of the storm damage as well as some of the recovery efforts makes a great subject but don't let it stop you from posting other things as well.

are them recent photos an is it still messed up like that? if so wow. an i hope you all don't get hit like that again. good luck

All but three of those pics are just a few weeks old.

There is still MASSIVE destruction all around me.

I am not in the city of New Orleans any more, I'm actually closer to the center of where the storm came ashore, where the damage is directly from storm surge and wind, rather than from slow flooding behind broken levees.

That's why you see so much debris in the pictures.

There are places that have just started clean-up and recovery in the last few weeks. And still other places sitting EXACTLY as they were ten months ago!!!

I'll find the rest of the pics.
