Arctic squirrel
I took these of a very young ground squirrel about 75 miles north of the Arctic Circle in the Brooks Range. He let me get within 2 to 3 feet of him while he was having his breakfast.

Yeah, he is cute, I just hope he learns to be a bit more cautious in letting bigger critters get as close to him as I did or he'll have a short existence.

He is a cutie The squirrels up at Lake Tahoe will come up and slap ya, then moon ya, then run off with your bologna sammich..
