A small slice of the Yorkshire Dales national park in, well, yorkshire, england
This has to be my most favourite part of the whole of the UK (and I have seen mst of it). My wife was born and raised round here and when she tore me from the city to her quiet haven I was just awe struck and moved over.

The first pic is of a barn. It's so exciting in the dales that every know and then you see things like this instead of just fields

next one is of a gorgeous little river cottage tea shop (which does sell beer!) in a village called malham. The lady is my wife and the dog is my...you guessed it! dog! see the bulls on the hill?

this is me and our dog out in the middle of no where. There are barns and tiny hamlets dotted about the area. The Yorkshire Dales has a population of about 16,000

There is quite a lot of limestone in the dales, you can see it just poking out of the ground

There is my dog there!!! The yorkshire dales is looked after by the national trust. They charge a lot for you to park - £5 - in most places. Think £5 is like 8 dollars or something, but I really could'nt say. The staff are funny. They don't mind most dogs being off their lead but seem to get funny with me and my mrs because we appear to be an easy target to tell us off about it. But there are barely any signs anywhere. We are first to put our dog on a lead when lambing season starts though! Most people don't understand lambing season and the effects your dog can have on the sheep.

That river is just a tiny stream at the moment (or beck if you are from yorkshire). It comes from the top of the cove to the left of the screen (I will show you a pic of the cove in a minute or two) and seeps through the limestone at the bottom to form the river aire.

the river aire goes right by our house too and in 2000 it flooded all the basement. luckily for us it was before we moved in.

this is the top of malham cove from a different angle to the norm. People climb it and there is also a lot of rare birds so you get bord spotters at the bottom with their telescopes out. I dropped the dogs lead once and thought she went over the edge. It is full of jagged limestone at the top and can be tricky to walk over
