a good site to host photos?
hey guys

i just got a new camera... Nikon P4 8.1mp

i'd like to host my photos online for all to see, but i can't seem to find a site that doesnt compress the images and degrade their quality. the only site i've found so far is flickr (here's some pictures from last night) which keeps them nice and crisp. only problem is that it costs 25 bucks/yr to upload more than 200mb worth of pictures per month and i'd like to explore my options before i buy.

thanks guys
ram

Why not purchase a domain and webspace, that way you can set your pictures up to suit yourself.....some good deals out there atm.

You may find a hosting site would have a one click section of software from database forum software and picture hosting loaded to your webspace free. Gotta be the way to go, if you have that many photos.

http://xs.to/ is a good site.

I stopped using imagecrap after they screwed up about 30% of the images I have uploaded to there site where hey losted the images or I get a error trying to get to them.
Getting help from them gets no where.
I took hours going tru all the 17 pages with 247 and writing everything down about each image that was not showing up or show up with errors or they changed the links on etc and email them with all the info.
Reply was I need to login to my account.
Like I told them my account info in the email and what was going on and things I said you can only get to if your logged in so they have some really smart people who know nothing reply to you. After 3 emails they stopped replying to me and I emailed them many more times but get no reply.
I just do not trust there site with my images when they lose so many of them.

i dont have an account.

i simply upload them to the server without opening an accout.

account is optional.

you can create it if you wish to view all your uploaded pictures in one place.

i can see all my pictures here at TSG anyway.

i for one have never had any problems with my pictures on IMAGESHACK.

i have been using it for months.

i say try it.[not directed at hewee]

I know a account is optional but I was uploading so many image and linking them to here and other forums and they killed the links when they screwed everything up when they changed everything at there site to add the ads and other junk they have now.
