Lovely flowers Margaret,

I had a large weeping Mock Orange & the perfume was very strong but it grew huge.

Thanks for sharing your flowers

The heavy rain we have been having for the last few days is causing havoc in the garden but surprisingly enough the flowers are still opening whenever the sun breaks through. The first dahlia opened today and the perennial geranium is in full flower but neither have scent but we are still enjoying the tobacco plants and the mock orange......

Rain is again forecast but at the moment the sun is shining - the birds are singing and these poppies have exploded into bloom......great to be alive!

Most English gardens have had too much water recently but certain plants just love it.....my hostas and hydrangeas have never been so lush and the viticella clematis are rambling everywhere which compensates for all the problems with the roses, geraniums etc.

Most of the gardens here are really suffering from the weather - many are under several feet of water with no sign of a let up in the rain for the next few days and flood warnings once more for many areas today. I count myself fortunate because usually I have a job to keep my soil moist as it is quick draining so although the plants are battered and looking tatty with too much water when the sun does pop out so do my sweet peas, dahlias, roses and now nasturtiums.......for how long they will last though is something I wouldn't want to bet on!!!

regards to everyone who 'visits' my garden......Margaret

The weather has turned topsy turvy lately - one day wet and windy and the next hot and sunny - the poor plants are as confused as we are......but still they continue to produce wonderful blooms to brighten our lives. I am posting some of the latest to come into flower in my garden....a pretty pink anemone called September Charm (I did say the flowers were confused about things too!), some white Phlox which have a super honey like perfume and late flowering dahlias - hope you like them......

regards to all you flower lovers.....Margaret
