Eagle
On Friday (October 19), we took a scenic train ride on the Potomac Eagle train. www.potomaceagle.info

This trip goes up the South Branch River, which is a branch of the Potomac. In one area, there is a narrow gorge that the river runs through. In that gorge (called the Trough), there are several breeding pairs of Bald Eagles. We saw six mature eagles and two juviniles. Here is a picture of one of the adults, taken out the window of the train.

You can lead a horse to water........and Jack Bauer can make him drink.

I've got a picture of all of us in front of the train engine, but that is on my mother's camera so I have to wait till she emails it to me.

It is a cool shot, isn't it? I just wish it had been taken by a digital camera........I don't have one, so I had to use my film camera and then scan the hard copy photo. So it's not as clear as it could have been..........and plus, the train was moving at the time.

But, it's still cool.
