All those names are Indian (actually 3 regional languages, but let's just say Indian, ok). Sahana is also the name of a raga or a scale of notes. It's actually very beautiful.

I like Jerry Lee Lewis(sp?)'s nickname - Killer!

If I had a cute little kitten, I think I'd name it Killer. Then I'd train it to meow when I shout "Killer! Sick'em!"

I always named my pets human names. Some were: Emily, Eloise, George, Eddie, Randolph, etc. For some reason they reminded me of those names.

Poochee was the name of my first dog as a kid. After that I went to human names.

I've named her Sahana. It is an odd name so it taking time for me to get adjusted to it.

Yippie, for a person who's never had cats in her life, to become an auntie to one, yippie. I just wish I could get you a couple of songs composed in the Sahana raga. Maybe Sahana can then dance to it.

I found a classical composition from long back. You might not understand the language. But I'm one who believes that music has no language. Might put Sahana to sleep though. It relaxes me completely. Here goes http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rF1BEEwud1w

This is much more recent and the video audio quality isn't that good. I'm not sure if it's composed in the Sahana raga, but the song starts with Sahana. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QcmfaIpG1OI

Sure I did! I had one as a hostage for exactly 32 minutes and 17 seconds.

I never got my fully fuelled helicopter

Sahara? Sounds familiar. Like a patch of dirt I saw on TV or something ..... hmmmm .......

I thought about naming her Sahara as well, given the two sandy patches on her back and head. But, Sahana's better.

I think she finally figured out where she likes to sleep, between my left arm and my chest, curled up in that little nook. It's nice, except when she stretches and puts her claws in the tender inside of my arm.
