Hotskate's Day at the Beach
I took a trip today on Pacific Coast Highway #1 to Pismo Beach and then to San Simeon, then Cambria Here's a few pictures of Hearst Castle and a lot of other misc. stuff. I saw tons of seals (they are alive even though they look dead in the picture because they are just laying in the sun). I also stopped by the James Dean memorial and took a picture. What a fun day......I'm tired and sunburnt, but it was worth it !!!!

No I have not Ya got me..........Maybe I embellished that statement about the chowder a teeny bit

I did have a fresh Maine lobster delivered to my door though once. Still alive and ready to boil.........it tasted so good I had to have my neighbor man come over though and help me put that lobster into the boiling water......I couldn't do it.

Fun photos, Hot Skates

Are those cattles in them thar hills?

I love the one of the seals, the colors are really striking, and yes they do look dead in the first one.

The squirrel looks so sweet and innocent, but as the man found out for himself, they are nuts

The chowder hut really has a California feel to it, makes me want to come visit again, I've been to San Diego twice and LA once

Hi hannab.....yes those are cows! We saw lots of herds of sheep too with their shepards.....all along the road through kettleman hills, I should have stopped and took a picture of that, pretty interesting.
I mentioned that fact about the seals because at first I thought they were all dead too. It was kinda eerie until you notice they start wiggling around and throwing sand on top of themselves to keep cool.

Those squirrils were nuts......people obviously always feed them there on a regular basis, so they are really tame. I kept looking down at my feet because I thought they'd be tugging at my pantleg when I wasn't looking. This one lady was picking up trash with a plastic bag and they kept jumping all over her too.....she just kept shooing them away
