Exclamation ID for your heron = Green Heron
Hi: Here is what my friend says, "Difficult to really see the bird except for the last frame, and from its perch I'd say it was a Green Heron. Your field guide will probably show it looking more slate gray than green but it is one of those iridescent birds that have many shades. If it isn't a Green, I don't know what it could be...Greens are pretty common."

In my bird book there is a pic of one flying that has a blue tinted back. Also, see the pic I have attached, which shows a definite blue shade.

your Celtics had a nice comeback last night. I hate the Celtics but hate the Lakers more so it was sweet.

Here are a couple of pics I took that are only about 2 blocks from my house. This was an amazing storm as it came up really fast and was widespread. and it only lasted for about 15 minutes. over 300,000 people lost service. many for the better part of the week and still not all have power back yet. then this morning another storm so more were knocked out.

We did not get any damage but have been out of power from 5pm Sunday until 6 am this morning. I have a generator though so it was not that big a deal. Except when the power came on it fried my garage door opener.

Could be worse though

One tree fell on the front of the house and the tree in the back yard fell on the back of the house. The house was forclosed and vacant

around the corner 3 houses away a kid almost got killed. 3 cars in the drive way. first one on jacks he was working on. then a red car and a crew cab pickup. can not even see the red car in the pic. he was between the red car and the one on jacks and the tree hit him in the back. these are a couple of angles

These were taken from Arlington Cemetery in the yard outside of Robert E. Lees house which is a the top of the hill as you look come thru the entrance. He lived there until the war. new knew that.

First pic shows the house at the top behind the entrance. the rest are look back from the house the opposite direction. not that anybody cares.
