Then moved on to some jewelry shots.
The first is the necklace my boyfriend gave me for our 5 month anniversary.
The other is my sister's engagement ring.

Nothing wrong with those fresh out of the box.

I'm subscribing to this thread cuz I want to keep an eye on you.

Bet ya can't wait until it's daylight so you can shoot some outdoor stuff and I can't wait to see 'em.

Tip # 1....
Frame the shot you want, then press the button 1/2 way to focus the shot. Then take a deep breath in and blow it out. Hold your breath as you press the trigger all the way down to take the shot. It will help you steady the camera. ( gun type sharpshooters do that for a reason )

Thanks.

Yes definitely eager for some daytime shots. Just don't know what to shoot!

Still trying to get the hang of it. Learning to focus. Play with the macro. Etc.

Thanks for the tip Guy. Keep em coming.

What are the MB's of these pictures?

Seen a nice camera you may like Nikon D3 (body only) but it cost to much and the EOS-1Ds Mark III cost even more but is 21.1 megapixels. Then if you shoot RAW, expect files in excess of 30MB each. Just think of the memory cards your need and the hard drive space to upload all of them to.

The biggest one was around 1.35MB. I kept the resolution high but resized them.
I wanted the quality to stay.

Thanks poochee.
