Just playing with new toy. Heavily cropped and sharpened a bit.

nice Gerry... what's the new toy... 300mm or so

out of curiosity yah think the left vs right is the hemisphere difference

The new toy is a nikon D80 body.
The lens is an older sigma APO 300 I that I used with my old F60 (pre digital).
Its great to be back into slr gear and getting a tremendous kick out of it, but got a lot of catching up to do.

Hey buck the left vs right thing might have something to do with you guys in the Northern hemisphere being upside down but then again you guys drive on the wrong side of the road as well

I say it's about the same as the top or bottom hemisphere.

Its not the same Hewee. Our north and south positions on earth mean our cameras are in a roughly 180 deg. opposite position. Thats why Bucks photo is upside down to mine or mine is upside down to Bucks depending on how you look at it.

Nice Moon shot Gerry,



I also noticed that the Crescent Moon shots when Venus & Jupiter were in conjunction were facing the opposite way to our view downunder
