Ike re-visited
I saw the one thread on Ike & since I'm new here, thought I'd share some ground zero shots with ya'll. They ain't pretty, but not much was after Ike. I lived in Kemah, Tx. at the time, a block from Galveston Bay. (that's about 1/2 way between Houston & Galveston for those that aren't familiar with the area) If you've heard of the Kemah Boardwalk, I could see it from my front porch. I've lived here most of my life & this is the 1st time I ever evacuated for a hurricane. (I rode out Alicia in this area as well) We basically lost everything we didn't take with us, you'll see why from the pics.

This is after we came back from Dallas from our hotel balconey, this is the bldg. I work in, my wife works in a bldg. in this same complex, it's about 2 miles from our old house
