Photo 1. Amongst all the madness and suffering in this world comes a little bit of human kindness. This is Sam the Koala who somehow managed to survive the horrific Victorian Bushfires in January that took the lives of more than 200 of my fellow Australians. Suffering badly burnt paws, almost blind and in severe shock, Sam is now being cared for by volunteers in a Wildlife shelter and is expected to make a full recovery.
