Before and Restored Pictures
I restored pics of my father taken when he was 18 (he's 75 now). He loved them and damn near had a tear in his eye. Hope you enjoy.

Photo 1 - Original

Photo 2 - Restored

Photo 3 - Black and White version...

Enjoy...

Thanks for the compliment on my photo restoration. I used Adobe Photoshop 7.0 (of course... LOL)

My father was quite happy.

It was one of the first photo restorations I did. They can be labor intensive but WELL WORTH IT.

And thanks for welcoming me to this incredibly awesome website.

I have used PSP7 to restore a few old pictures of my parents, but mine didn't turn out as well as yours.
I scanned them with a Canon Canoscan first, maybe my equipment isn't as good as yours. (including my shaky hands)

And yes, it is very time consuming to fix every little pixel. I am sure people with ask for your help if you are this good.

We hope you'll enjoy this site, I found it the best site for what I want and like. They helped me here a lot and I learned a lot too.

Thanks so much for your compliments, I appreciate it.

My opinion is that scanning is the first important step. You need to scan at at least 300 dpi so that you have enough pixels to work with.

Anything less than 300 dpi and the photo could look spotty and will be much more difficult to restore than it may already be (they take a lot of work).

Thanks again.
