Women outnumber men on U.S. Olympic team for London

For Team USA this summer in London, it will be the Title IX Olympics. For the first time in U.S. Olympic history, there will be more female athletes competing than men. The 530-member team is comprised of 269 women and 261 men, the U.S. Olympic Committee announced Tuesday.

Greek athlete expelled from Olympics for ‘racist’ tweet

Greece‘s triple-jump champion was expelled from the Olympics after posting a tasteless tweet about Africans and the West Nile virus.

Hellenic Olympic Committee officials announced Voula Papachristou wouldn’t travel to London after she tweeted a joke about African immigrants.

Techies' time to shine as Olympics begin

The Opening Ceremonies of the 2012 Summer Olympic Games in London take place Friday. But numerous Bay Area businesses, primarily in the tech arena, have been busy preparing for the Games for months already.

Banking on consumer frenzy building for the London Olympics, scammers are firing off a blitz of bogus Olympics-themed e-mail aimed at stealing your money and information. The problem has been so pervasive that London Games organizers warn on its website that consumers should be on the lookout for scams.

Yes, the McLaren's are on form but once again it's rain. Nobody managed to do long stint testing on the dry rubber so it's going to be interesting for quali.

But, I return this thread to its originally intended purpose.
