Did anyone see Vh1s 33 best bar songs yet(sponsored by Rolling Rock)? Although I don't agree with them all and obviously it's nothing "official" I still like VH1s countdowns. They are great to put on CD and play at a party (well some parties).

Depends on he age of the drinkers in the bar!
I can see at least three cover versions of the original (and best) songs in that group.

But, heh, I've been in a sort of bar for a coupla hours, so what the $hit do I know?

Yeah ya really got to take VH1 countdowns with a grain of salt. I believe the ages of the people they were talking to on the show were alot of Gen Xers

bar songs
Maybe I'm old, but I only recognize about half of those songs. I always thought the best bar songs were Irish... like "Johnny Tar" by Gaelic Storm, "First We'll Drink the Whiskey" by Schooner Fare or some well worn favourites like "Little Brown Jug", and "Danny Boy". Of course, one country western favourite that I love is "I'd rather have a bottle in front of me than a frontal lobotomy."

I love bar songs.

What is it with you Ohio people and country music? Nahh my fiance can listen to it of course but just when I'm not there.

But ya hafta admit ALOT of those songs are in jukeboxes in all the bars I've been to. I am suprised they didn't include Freebird but of course that song is song long it would not only open but close the bar.
