I like the 50, and 60's music, the rock and roll years, and the beatles, any body seen any live performances, I have'nt only Elvis and Cliff Richard. I was working in Westbury, when the Beatles came through by train, I did'nt go, but I guess many saw them. I believe they were filming. I do though like the rock and roll.

Hi Jan! Count me in! I was only about 9 when the Beatles came to Detroit....my family drove down just to try to see them before they went in the arena! I just received the greatest hits of the Seekers from a friend....my favorite song by them is on it...."I'll Never Find Another You".....sniff....sniff....

Turned 14 in 1950 and got married in 1960 - some of the best years of my life in the fifties and sixties . I am still enjoying life and many kinds of music from way before then to the present but there isn't much current music that really turns me on like the oldies. Even though many present performers are very good, I think it is very hard to come up with new music that equals the standards of the past . Of course there are many in the past that didn't measure up also. Bd

My older sister listened to rock and roll on a phonograph. Remember that scratching sound? Remember having to buy a new needle every month? One of the things I like about buying music online from Music Match is that you can get that type of music and listen to it without the scratches.

My husband and myself are both BIG 50's and 60's rock-n-roll fans. As are a lot of younger people! I was sitting on a bus the other day and the kids sitting in front of me were listening to 50's music through ear phones and singing along LOL .. Knew all the words too! They were about 15-16 years old! Love it!!

wadda ya wanna know toots ?

I was brought up on rock and roll, the first words that came outta my mouth was "where's my guitar" learned to play a lot of Elvis and C&W.

I suppose thats why I like a lot of Gospel (the R&B influence), some 60's is ok.
great tune from the 60's "Nobody but you" which was an old scat track from the 30's

I do proper 50's (american/ international) rock & Roll. I'm looking at doing Lindy and Swing.

BUt when I play out its a mixture of hip-hop, soul, 60's70s etc.

"Jaye has left the building, thank you and good night"

Hi Angelise 77

It was music in them days was'nt it. It's a pity they can't make music like that to-day.

I still have the LP's of the beatles, and Jerry Lee Lewis, and many others.

I have a lot of them on CD's now.

Yours

Jan

I feel it is a pity that people can't make records like they use too. I always listen to the oldies on the radio, if they are on.

We listen to CD's now, but I enjoy listening to the older music, I wish they would make records like it to-day.

I just noticed that you are in England. Did you ever visit the club that the Beatles played at before they became really famous?
