This is one big place. I checked out the site and I liked the Brewery section too. "Cowgirl Blonde Ale" sounds good to me. That's funny about the ties, I like the relaxed atmosphere.

Wyoming has excellent Dude Ranches at altitude, and if you come through Thermopolis I'll feed your bunch. That offer is open to the rest of you ramblers as well. Call ahead, and I'll be ready for you.

BTW - littlemar, Thermopolis is strategically placed between Wisconsin and Arizona, and vice-versa for you AZ

Hiya

here it is, another BAAD day.

Are you ready? There is a silver lining in this dark cloud however.

Got up after only having 2 hours sleep. This place is so addictive.

It was okay setting off for my usual 30 minutes walk to town, but its pretty cold. And it started to rain. Oh, how nice it felt bouncing off my forehead, that ice cold rain and that blasted wind.

Anyway, got to town, drenched, met my mate then we got on the bus to work.

I have more or less moved departments, but not locations, if that makes sense. Not working for my moaning boss now. WAHAY!!!

Well, the day was fast. We want it now!!!! was the all too familiar phrase. Had to sample a few drums, forgot to take some paper roll to clean up with, so had dripping product leaving a trail down the site and onto my jeans. Nice, damn stuff is like glue.

My mate is the one who has to stay in the lab with the moaning boss and Joan. Haha. Some of you may remember me talking about her before.

Anyway, at lunch, Matt, who most don't like as he's very loud and knows EVERYTHING, had a phone call. It was about an email he had sent out to the entire site. ~1000 people, including the big boys upstairs.

It was saying that there is a lab that is vacent and if anyone wants some stuff, they can go and get some as its all not wanted.

Well, the lab is still being used on a now and then basis. The person ringing wasn't happy, just a chemist, but he works there. A few words that we all know went down the line.
he came back moaning saying he was right. Then, my old boss came in, heard all this and gave Matt a rollicking.

I left to go back to my lab.

Found out that he had put the email on Send Receipt, so he had loads of emails coming back, many asking for stuff. Many calls, in fact as soon as the word FREE is mentioned there, its like bees round honey, or the flies round the prverbial.

Also, the boss got a big telling off from the BIG guy upstaires, all the way down to Ann, who is Divisional Manager.

He then gave Matt a yelling to, threatened discaplinery, and he said something like "What, do I have to go through you evertime I want to send an email out?" He's a Project Leader, one off from section leader, which is the boss, one off Manager. Just giving you a guide.

Ah, my old boss in trouble and Matt, whome I don't like in trouble.

All together now " Always look on the bright side of life, da da, dum dum, da da da"

eddie

Yes there is justice, if you can just wait long enough. Thanks for the update. You draw a very clear picture. I just love your postings, as well as littlemars about workplace frustrations, reminds me of why I'm self-employed.

He has a habit, Matt that is, in making people feel uncomfortable.

An electrician came in, we employ our own, and he yelled out, censored mind " Whats the ******** doing here?" He'd only come in to check the plug. Left pretty quickly.

At least I don't have to hear Joans grating voice anymore, but she still trying to get me to do their work. Not having it.

Each day brings an new enjoyment

Hi guys
I got a phone call today from a guy complaining that I had not done some work he scheduled for me this am. It turns out he removed a job from our E-diary and put a new job in and sent me an E-mail with extra information. Fine so far yes? Thursday last week our PC support man took my laptop to repair a faulty as it turned m/b. I was off on Friday, he would get PC back Monday.
Didn't happen. So this guy is bollocking me for not responding to the E-mail I haven't read telling me I should of told him I had no PC when I didn't know he was going to task me. After a bit of abuse I asked Did you ask for read reciept on your E-mail. Dead quiet phone goes down.
Still at least I've my PC back now with a new m/b "new" s/w build and now I can "enjoy" W98 at work as well as at home.
Perhaps Wednesday will be better.
