oops! Sent off the pic before I meant to. I figured you couldn't see half of my desktop because of all the icons. So, I just sent the pic that is on it. Maybe most people have seen my baby 'King' Charlie. I just got him in this pic. But he is about 6 months old now.

it's a sorta fancy way of saying alto

p.s. good songs ... i love billy joel, and the roxette song listed a few pages back is a great song, too .

All joking aside, my wife and I are musicians, although my singing
is a little rusty. Ok, it's quite rusty.

But, IMHO, four of the greatest contraltos ever, are:
(The late) Mahalia Jackson,
(The late) Karen Carpenter,
Anne Murray, and
Tamra Rosanes.

i don't know that last one, but agree with you on the first three

i sent some sheet music to my guitarist yesterday

we're working on a piece for church with guitar and flute

My graphic card is capable of 2000 something, but unfortunately my LCD will only go up to 1280x1024. Not that I would be able to read anything at that resolution anyways.
