Mystery plant didn't like the transplant, I am hoping it will pop up in the Spring! I am fairly certain that it is some type of lilly, the top of it was feathery if that makes sense! It didn't resemble that flower pic link that you posted a while back..

I'll have more time to look the flower up after Friday, last day working at the school for the summer

Take care!

A great number of plants are in some way poisonous and its always wise to make sure hands are washed thoroughly after handling them,if you click on this site http://plantanswers.tamu.edu/publica...on/poison.html you will be able to see just how poisonous some of the more well known ones can be ...hope it doesnt put you off gardening

Thanks for the poision plant link... Now I know how to easily off my hubby.... Joking of course! I am surprised I am still alive after all the elderberry jam ( jelly?)I ate as a child

Take care!

Nice photos guys!! Both your gardens are fabulous!!

Just wondering if copper would hurt my flowers? I ask because I have bunch of copper tubing and I want to make some plant stakes out of them.. It's easy to bend and hammer into the shape I want and would be great if I can use them in the garden..

Take care!

Thanks Frank!! It seems every year when my irises and lillies bloom we get a big rain and they flop over... As soon as I see them in that condition I always say to myself that I forgot about buying plant stakes again..

Going out to make some more right after I finish my morning coffee!!

Hi to Carole and pats to Jaki

Thanks Telecom, I plunked into my favorites in case I decide to go hog wild with copper in the future!! Right now I'm using up, 1/4 inch tubing we had laying around from moving our gas pig a year and half ago.. The idea slapped me in the face when I was getting my tomato cages ready and noticed two of painted daisies flopped over!

Happy gardening!

I transplanted my tomato plants, last week. Then we got a little cool spell. I covered them up with old feed bags.

Then we go a real heavy rain. I mean it was so bad that there was water standing one part of the garden. It is a good thing that we have clay type soil, otherwise I think that there would be a lake in the garden. Clay type soil, holds a lot of water.

My tomato plants look like they must have gotten a little frost that day, because they are green on the top and the rest of the plant, the leaves are turning brown. I also noticed that some of the plants, there is a little green sprouting at the bottom of the plants. So maybe the tomatoes will still be alright.
