I've had a yen to take pictures, and do a little display, but yesterday, when I checked my camera, I found it to be dead, so it will have to wait. I have a lovely flowering Kale, a deep lavender center bordered by a lovely dusty green. I wanted to show it before I make a nice dish with it, but I guess the repair shop calls.

I'll be posting the recipe on my blog after I make it.

Right now, I have leaves everywhere, and that's where they'll have to stay, I'm under doctor's orders, darn.

Oh, what a shame! Would loved to have seen the pretty kale! Is it a battery problem, do you think? Hope it's repaired soon.

I have isolated it to the camera, as brand new batteries had no effect. I will go through their troubleshooting directions, and check the contacts before I send it in, but I suspect it will go in. It takes excellent pictures, so I hope it can be fixed.

I am thanks, Frank. A nice Sunday. Love the photos of the dahlias and gernanium. Very pretty pink. I've just collected Cecil from Graham, Lesley took me over in the car as it would have been dark. Lots of mist rising from the river and the fields.

My second delivery of stable manure was made yesterday, so I have plenty now to finish the climbing roses and put on the vegetable garden. I didn't cut the grass and ought to get that done while it's still dry.

I cycled to Peggy's fields this morning and watered Schuee's little tree. I also weeded the front garden yesterday. The Cable company have to come and put a new sheath on the cable that runs through the garden - just hope they don't damage too many plants.

Hope everyone's having a good weekend and can get out in the garden.

I have replanted my bulbs (crocuses, daffodils and tulips)...five times already this fall....my dog keeps digging them up. He can even get the chickenwire off the tops of them to dig
Any suggestions

Put some pieces of rose stem cuttings down over them, the dog will not go on them .......

Also pepper is a good deterrent

That was going to be my suggestion, one dusting of cayenne. It will also deter squirrels, and other digging rodents as well.
