My wife had a stroke about 4 years ago, and it took them almost a year to figure it out.

You and your family are in my prayers, Cheeziepoo. Unfortunately, this life is but a drop in the bucket of time.

But be of good cheer, we basque in the shadow of His wings, and in His arms we find rest.

Thank you LAN.

It just shocks me; both my grandma and great uncle apparently had strokes some time ago and tey're just realizing it now.
What's odd is my great uncle can't move his left hand anymore. Wouldn't that indicate a stroke recently? How does your hand suddenly stop working?

Thanks guys

Got some news about my grandma...
The spot on her lung is a tumor, but they don't know if it's malignant or benign. They'd have to do a needle aspiration to determine that. If it's cancer, she'd need either surgery or chemo. She wants neither. And at her age, who knows if she'd survive either? So I don't really blame her.
They also determined she has 2 different heart arrythmias - which they are monitoring.

Cheeseball, I am praying for your grandmotther and uncle. Anything neurological is unpredictable to medical science...it often takes a long time for doctors to determine these things... but that doesn't help those of us on the other end. Will pray for wisdom for the doctors as well as your grandmother in determine plan of treatment. She may want to seek a second opinion along the way. I also pray for your comfort. Grandma's are so nice to have around and you want to keep them forever. But as Lan said this life is just a drop in the bucket...really just a stepping stone to the eternal. So we all need to cherish the time we have with each other and not waste time. Life here is too short to waste.

Prayers and hugs for all who come here.

Thanks all. I'm gonna visit her tonight. We hope she will be discharged soon.
We know that we need to respect whatever decisions she decides to make.
No updated news on my uncle. My Mom said she'd call later.
