Don't jump the gun.

Don't count your chickens before they hatch, or fantasize and plan incessantly for something with a 1% chance of happening.

Focus your energy on the present. Reflection is good, forethinking is good, and daydreaming is good, but don't spend all your energy on those. If you dwell on the past, there will be no future. If you dwell on the future, it will never come. If you daydream too long, your actual life will become of no importance to you and you will be miserable. Find your happy medium, and keep your main focus on what's happening around you right now. That is what will determine your future, make use of your past, and help you accomplish the stuff of your daydreams.

"If only, if only," the woodpecker sighs,
"The bark on this tree were as soft as the skies."
While the wolf waits below, hungry and lonely,
Crying out to the moon, "If only, if only."
"If only, if only." The moon speaks no reply
Reflecting the sun and all that's gone by.
Be strong, my weary wolf, turn around boldly.
Fly high, my baby bird, my angel, my only.

As many of you know..I teach Martial Arts.
Some Teachers will not accept anyone with a drug problem or gang affiliation etc.

I will take them in and teach them one important thing...to love themselves first and then that will ripple outward....It seemed to me that the driving force behind their self abuse was the lack of love for themselves...I teach them to get it back and it works....has for years

A very noble cause FISH. Is it well received?

I can appreciate what you are teaching. My son's instructors taught self worth, self discipline, respect for family and the need for a good education. It was well worth it for him.

Thanks Katonca

Yes it is worth it...even one child changed and my life is more complete..I have changed many a problem child, to where the parents actually cried. They tried counseling and other means but all the things that M.A. taught them pulled them out of the darkness, that and my personal teachings. M.A. is a great tool to better your life and I highly recommend it to anyone. So many beautiful things to learn in M.A....most importantly that your mind is a far more powerful weapon than your fist...if you wield it right there is nothing that you cannot do

Make the most of life with your children, let them get to know you. There is nothing sadder than losing a parent when you are young and realising you never really knew them as a 'person'

Not that my opinion means much in the scheme of things but I do applaud your approach. There is no way to reach these impressionable people if one shuns them.

So you are to be commended.

Martial arts if taken as you appear to teach it is much more than the physical component. The mental is equal or more important it seems to me looking in as one who has never practiced.

I can not think of any nutbag who did bad things who was a devout practioner of martial arts. maybe we need to get rid of religion and just follow the practices of MA ??

Again I commend you for what you do. if even one person is saved from straying on the wrong side that is worth it. The others who wont take in these people should rethink their thoughts but then they probably are afraid of failure as you can not save or convert everybody.

Thanks...the second lesson is to believe in yourself.

I believe that if I try but not get to everyone, then I have not failed, since trying means so much. On this path of M.A. which is a lifelong journey...at the top of the mountain and the end of the path...you will find....A mirror. You must build your foundation of life...every good thing that you do that works positive towards you and others...you add a brick and visa versa. So the most important thing that M.A. teaches in a much different light than other types of counselors and psychologists teach. Since it's such a hard and well earned 4 doorway path to enlightenment

I cannot get through to those whom do not wish to listen...hopefully later in life they will look back and remember and change for the better. As I said before..M.A. is a tool to better your life...and far more than just learning to defend yourself...but you need a good teacher...many arts teach macho nonsense, so the art you take is very important....I think that M.A. teaches you to focus inward towards your innerself.

I teach that there are 4 doorways that one must go through on this path in M.A.

the:

Physical

Mental

Emotional

Spiritual
