Where have you been?
Alias died last season.
24 comes back in January with the now-customary FOUR HOUR SEASON PREMIERE!!! Wooooohoohoohoohooooo!!!
As far as new shows.... I probably find myself dropping everything for Studio 60 more than anything else. Seems to me that it's a TV show about TV for people who really love TV. And I love TV. So there you have it.
I'm also digging Heroes, The Nine, Jerricho... I was watching Vanished until they killed off the hot guy? Whiskey tango foxtrot!? I wish I could watch Ugly Betty, but it just has way too much competition.
Don't forget the comedies: been watching The Class (mostly because it was paired with How I Met Your Mother) and I intend to watch 30 Rock (premiering tonight).

#33 | Hi Ash! I liked both of those shows too!!
Some of the new game shows look interesting...that one where it's one person against 100...should be interesting! Ken Jennings is going to be one of the 100! | | Distinguished Member with 27,127 posts. | | Join Date: Oct 2001 Location: Striking or Scoring Experience: The Alpha and Omega |

All you need is 5 VCRs and lot's of free time. Smith has been cancelled after a few episodes and Kidnapped has been moved to Saturday and will be cancelled after the 13th episode.
If I had to pick five it would be: House, Boston Legal, NCIS, Prison Break and L&O:SVU. |
You NEED to build a PVR...download knoppmyth, buy a few hauppauge PVR cards a BIG harddrive and install.
No more remembering to set VCRs. EVER!
See: http://mysettopbox.tv
I use it, and love it. I just select what shows I want, and it manages recording them when they are on...it handles conflicts in the schedule, and everything for you.

EDIT: Damn per www.TV.com both have been canceled.... I hate when the cancel shows with out notice who the hell do they think they are | Geez, Surface.... I almost forgot about that show! It was cancelled after like... four shows or something wasn't it? I'm pretty sure it didn't make it to Spring. Woman, where have you been!?
Friday Night Lights: I started watching it. And then I realized I already lived that show. In high school. I mean, I watch The Office and I work in an office, but somehow it's a little different. Maybe that Office is funnier than my office, and Friday Night Lights seems a little too accurate. Then again, what do I know? I was a band diva. Geek doesn't really apply.
Kyle Chandler is hot, though. Meow. Who felt a little cheated when he got blown to smithereens on Grey's last year? I know I did.

thats crap | Its a Personal Video Recorder. And you can easily tape two shows and watch a 3rd as long as you have another TV tuner--either the television itself or a VCR. I assume you are using a Cable DVR (digital video recorder). What you do is just split the signal and run one to the VCR and the other to the DVR--then you can use the VCR tuner to watch a 3rd program while the DVR is taping the other two. The only downside is you can't watch a high definition channel or a channel above the basic cable channels that come through without a box.
The other option is to buy a TV tuner card and run a cable through your computer and tape the program on your computer--of course, then you can either watch it on the puter or burn it to a DVD and watch it on your DVD player.

#41 | DiaSaidSo-Surface actually had 15 episodes which aired and it ended when the giant tsunami hit. Also glad they are replacing Gale Howard with Eddie Cibrian as Gale's character was getting his butt kicked in one episode and his female partner had to take him out. Did you notice she didn't yell the usual freeze she just blew him away.
Gibble-I known there are probably eaiser ways to tape all my shows but seeing I am mostly retired I have lots of time and I like going on my myway tv and zap2it tv guides to research and set up these programs. What you are talking about doing is probably beyond this old guys mental capabilites.

Not because it was bad... it just moved so slowly. And I'm all about the slow burn.... I'm a Lost freak. But when you keep investing and getting no returns,* you stop investing. At least with Lost, you keep getting reveals, even if they're occasionally a red herring. Invasion just never seemed to progress, which is an affliction that I fear will befall Jericho as well if they don't pick up the pace a bit. Then again, Jerricho has a great chance of surviving because.... Major Dad!
Speaking of recasts from Invasion.... I do love that the creepy guy from Invasion is now the creepy guy on Prison Break. Good work!
*Tip: Always use money metaphors when trying to convince Mulder of something. His ears perk right up. Now if you just want to get a reaction out of him or get his attention, sexual double entendres will do the trick. Now you know. *falling star*

#43 | Ok Mulder.....set your Tivo for these shows:
LOST - Because Its just a great escape from reality
JUSTICE - Because You'll learn new ways to "spin"
BOSTON LEGAL - Because William Shatner is simply brilliant.
UGLY BETTY - Because she's really not
WIFE SWAP - Because you'll realize how good you really have it.
THE BACHELOR - Because...well...maybe not a good show for you on second thought.
HOUSE - Because its fun to watch Hugh Laurie talk without his "English" Accent.
