Most TV seasons are 22 episodes. This "mini-season" was supposed to be 1/3 of the entire season. Please do not worry. There is not a SNOWBALL'S CHANCE IN DALLAS that ABC will shorten Lost's season. You can forget it. Right now, missy. And I really really mean it!

I just wish they wouldn't mess with the "norm" and just have 1 entire season instead of screwing around with all this new mini, fall, or whatever "season" terminology. The writers are having so much fun watching us try go figure everything about the show.....even this kind of stuff. The whole thing is probably just some type of guinea-pig experiment on us to see how much we can tolerate until we jump off the "LOST" treadmill

Here's how I understand the situation.... After seeing the success that 24 had (woot!) going straight through the season (January through May) with no repeats, ABC thought they would try something similar. They didn't want to leave Lost off the Fall Sched, so instead, they gave us one mini-season, and then take a break for the holidays. This way, you're not expecting anything new. They'll just put on repeats, but not mix them up with new episodes. Which is great for me because now I can get caught up on the OC! Ahem. AND think how great it'll be when it comes back in January and you get to go straight through with no repeats! I think it's just fabulous. I just KNOW they're going to treat this week's ep like a REAL season finale with some story lines being tied up and a nice fat cliffhanger. It's like two Lost seasons in one! It's like.... magic.

#135 | Jericho is great! I began watching Jericho (on CBS on Wednesday nights) from the very start this season and it is a really good show. It is well-written, well-acted, and an excellent dramatic story. I would highly recommend it to anyone! | THIS THREAD HAS EXPIRED.
