 | Distinguished Member with 49,960 posts. | | | | The Random Thread about Absolutely Nothing! Ok--some of these "deep thought" threads that have been going on have given me a headache. I want to start a thread about absolutely nothing. The rules in this thread are you can't post about something, you have to post about nothing.
You may ask--how can I post about nothing because even this thread on "nothing" is about something--i.e., "nothing." I guess its like some sort of metaphysical paradox--i.e., the universe had no beginning and no end--or God if you believe in Him--could not have popped out of thin air--He must have always been. True to with this thread--it is about nothing, but must be about something, even if about nothing.
I'm digressing now and I'm starting to think too much about this thread which is supposed to be about nothing so that we don't have to think.
So I would invite those poolsters who are adept at posting nothing: dotty, help4me, hannab, angelize, moony, DiSaidso, JEBWrench, et al. and the king of meaningless posts--Izme., aka The Fish.
Give it a try. Post about nothing.

Post is clearly about nothing!!!!!!!!!! Using the Transitive property in math, it is clear I am correct. Seinfeld Was about nothing. My post was about seinfeld. My post was about nothing.
Seinfeld = Nothing
My post = Seinfeld

My post = Nothing | No--that is a logical fallacy, hence:
Seinfeld was about nothing--it did not equal nothing.
Suppose I say, "moonmist has the hots for Mulder". That is about something (i.e.. moonmist's state of mind as it applies to Mulder. Now, if I said "moonmist is a hot girl"--still about something, but closer to nothing. Now, if I said "moonmist is a girl" that is closer yet to nothing.
Wait for a post by Izme--you will see pure "nothingness" in his posts--learn from the master.

#15 | When I was a bright-eyed, youthful high school lad, I found at a yardsale what could only be described as the greatest thing ever. It was a "Box of Nothing". Now, obviously, any old box could be empty. But this was a yellow cigar box covered with all kinds of wonderful thoughts.
"Just when you though nothing can help - Nothing can!" is the one that comes to mind best.
Unfortunately, the box has since gone closer to its entropic end due to some ambitious celebration in my University days.
