THE FABULOUS FOOLISH FIB
Written by me in 1990

I KNOW YOU WON’T BELIEVE THIS,
I DIDN’T THINK YOU WOULD!
BUT JOLLY OL’ SANTA RUINED
MY DOLL MADE OF WOOD!

HE CAME DOWN THE CHIMNEY
ALL NICE AND DANDY.
HE GAVE MY BROTHER A TRUCK,
AND MY SISTER A BAG OF CANDY.

HE WAS STILL NICE AND HAPPY
WHEN HE CAME TO MY STOCKING ON THE MANTLE.
BUT HE DIDN’T WATCH HIS FOOTING,
AND SLIPPED ON A CANDLE.

THE DOLL WENT FLYING,
AND BROKE MOM’S NEW MIRROR.
SANTA FELL DOWN,
BUT LANDED ON HIS REAR!

SANTA WENT TO PICK UP THE DOLL
BUT HE CUT HIS FINGER ON SOME GLASS!
AND THAT IS WHEN SANTA
LOST HIS TEMPER VERY FAST!

HE THREW THE DOLL ACROSS THE ROOM.
IT MUST HAVE HIT ITS HEAD,
BECAUSE SANTA STARTED YELLING
AT WHAT THE DOLL HAD SAID.

SANTA CHOPPED THE DOLL APART
AND THREW IT’S ARMS TO THE GROUND!
I KEPT MY DISTANCE
FOR IT WAS ONLY THE FIRST ROUND.

THE DOLL WAS DISMEMBERED,
BUT SMILED AS IF UNHARMED.
IT LOOKED AT SANTA AND SAID,
“GO AHEAD AND HIT ME…I’M UNARMED!”

SANTA LOOKED SURPRISED,
AND THOUGHT THAT WAS QUITE FUNNY!
BUT AS FOR NEXT YEAR......

I THINK I’LL ASK FOR MONEY!
