What ever happened to the "true meaning of Christmas".
what about radio stations that play chirstmas music WAY TO EARLY almost right after halloween they start playing it and after awhile you get tired of the same songs over and over when there played for 2 months in a row

Or when you go into those shopping malls and all you hear over the PA system is Jingle Bells, or Santa Claus is coming to town, or Rudolph the Red Nose Rain Deer...... We hear so much if it.

Then On the 27th of December there is a line-up that courtesy desk, to return items.

Why is it when my cell phone battery gets low, the phone beeps and display lights up every 30 minutes (I assume to let me know it is low)? Thus, ensuring the battery will die even sooner? Seems stupid to me.

Agreed! *annoyed smiley here*....and it's always the world's most annoying beeper too...and you can't silence the darn thing without shutting it off.... If I have my cell phone set on vibrate/silent, I do it for a REASON!!

Thanks for the inspiration, I have today decided to test this theory personally.

I became an NTL customer in the early 90s. Since the Virgin Media takeover, things have progressively worsened. Practically the first thing VM did was increase the non-DD payment charge by 25%. Then there was the loss of Sky channels, presumably as a consequence VM's costs are now lower yet this has *not* been reflected in service charges. Now I find that some of my service charges have been changed (to the best of my knowledge) unilaterally. I used to get phone line rental plus ATV base pack for £10.50 per month, now it's £11 for line rental plus £5.50 for ATV base pack. Paying *anything* for ATV base pack would be bad enough since the vast majority of channels are available on Freeview, however I find from VM's website that for digital customers TV is "free when taken with Virgin Phone"! So effectively I'm being penalised for being a long-standing customer.

Thus, w/r/t the "Contact Us" strapline, I'd like to ... know when VM will be doing something positive for me.

TIA,
Andy

Peeve of the day: Coworkers who try to give me a guilt trip for not being miss bright-eyed and bushy tailed and engaging in mindless conversation first thing in the morning.

I've already had shoe drama this morning, then I had to sit in traffic, so I'm already 15 minutes late and you want me to stop in the kitchen and pretty much interrupt the completely useless conversation you're already having to say GOOD MORNING so I can get to my desk even later? UGH! So now I'm rude. WTFEVER! RRRRRRRAR!!! "Oh so I guess Dianna's not going to talk today." "Nope. Not yet." (as I stomp up the stairs) "Well you could at least...." (voice trails off as I shut the door). Heh.

OK I feel better now.
