Peeve of the day. A maintenance man who tells me he going to turn up on the day and doesn't. Nor does he have the courtesy to call and let me know he can't - making a call takes, what, 10 seconds out of his time to let me know?
Plus the fact that I put other matters aside so I could be available to let him in.

Spittin' chips here!...

Craigslist? Ok, googled it. It'd be a good idea if lived in the US, but not sure I'd be able to pay a callout fee to Perth, Western Australia! (Even if I could persaude them to come half way around the world..)

Well that at least got me out of my and gave me a good laugh

They're doing a bit on the radio about what women hate to be called... like baby, mamasita, miss booty ..... I really hate it when people refer to me as a "girl." Or when men refer to a group of grown women as "girls." You don't call grown men "boys." So why would you call a bunch of women "girls?" American Idol is a horrible offender.... They refer to the men as "the guys," but they refer to the women as, "the girls." Pffffffffft.... "Ladies" works just fine, y'know!

They may have insufficient information to determine whether "Ladies" applies to the females in question.
