#16 | Note: I never said that the pinnacle of motorsports was not F1; I certainly believe it is. #19 | Valis, you missed a word. It should have read: "EVERY Ferrari, as always, gets my heart rate up...."
Interesting front spoiler on the Ferrari though. Incredibly long looking, and very thin. Better hope Massa and Kimi dont gain any weight over the season! They might not even fit in the car!
Very odd, but possibly very functional, rear half spoiler on the McLaren. And the separation in the nose cone spoiler is also a bit odd. With that little space, is it really going to prove that effective? The MP4-22 does have an absolutely beautiful paint scheme though. The chrome color is so mellow and smooth, just gorgeous.
Now for Toyota. Gascoyne ripped into the senior F1 management yesterday. But this is Toyota's day, so here we go. Interesting front top nose cone winglets. Very long rear wing as well. But I am still wondering where all that money Toyota throws into F1 is going. Their car really does look sub-par to the McLaren and the Ferrari, and Ferrari has an all new design this year. The TF107 just does not look as technologically or as aerodynamically advanced as the other two.
Now for Renault, and who I am really excited about, the new Red Bull by Adrian Newey. | | Community Moderator with 32,711 posts. | | Join Date: Sep 2004 Location: Texas Experience: cp/m --> |

| betcha that spoiler is changed before the first race. Think they are trying to juke the others into wasting some time monkeying with it, personally. Quote: |

Think better have one whale of a powerplant in there. Or at least one that doesn't explode.
No, wait, that's Mercedes.
Should get results from trials in a few days.....looking forward to it.
later, man. Talk to you shortly

#21 | Yes, they did lengthen the wheelbase, but look at the front spoiler and the angle of the nose cone, far less than that of the MP4-22. Also, the sidepods have been redesigned and there is a new (very top notch according to Ferrari, one wonders if they stole and modified Renault's banned system) suspension system. Also, look at the F2007's back part of the wing, you will see little "legs" leading to the tire so the wing is also use to lengthen the body of the car. | | Distinguished Member with 4,566 posts. | | Join Date: Aug 2005 Location: Austin, TX Experience: In what? ;) |

#27 | Anytime. Renault's R27 just does not look as sharp as the Ferrari or McLaren. I do like the darker paint scheme though. The official rollout is Jan 27th, some good shots will come available then. | | Distinguished Member with 4,566 posts. | | Join Date: Aug 2005 Location: Austin, TX Experience: In what? ;) |

It looks to be a step up on Toyota's F1 entry but still not aero-optimized as the Ferrari and McLaren's are. Of course aero changes on a per-circuit basis, but the body remains pretty much the same and development does continue. Better, but not up to snuff to claim a top 4 spot, IMO, as they want to. | | Community Moderator with 32,711 posts. | | Join Date: Sep 2004 Location: Texas Experience: cp/m --> |

#30 | Renault's challenger. *shudder*
2.4L 750 (est) HP engine revving in excess of 19,000 rpm.
Unfortunately, no hi-res shots of the body and aerodynamics are yet available. But depending on Red Bull's final entry, the R27 could be the only team running a V Keel front suspension. I will say I am not a fan of paint scheme. Too much going on, and a clash of colors. | THIS THREAD HAS EXPIRED.
