THANK YOU! Poochee for bumping this every week!!

This comes from the bottom of my heart and soul and those of the countless abused children in the world...

Maybe there is a way for you to pin and sticky the link?

I know it would help immensely if we could see this every time we come in to the forums.
I have been a member for a short time here, and just saw this thread for the first time.

This subject is very close to my heart... and my life is dedicated to help victims of abuse... especially children.

I just put my zip code in that box, and came up with a lot of little boxes in my area.

To my utter horror and disbelief... the picture of someone that worked with my husband for many years... and the place where my three teenage daughters and my son used to work during the summer months... was staring at me from my monitor!!.

I thank God they were safe while working there!.

As a moderator in a support forum created to help people suffering with the aftermath of child abuse and molestation, I can see the horrors this crime causes... on a daily basis... and my heart breaks for them.

I truly know what they are going through... and spend many hours each day on that forum trying to give them a little bit of comfort.
I also will do anything in my power to prevent one more child from falling into the hands of sexual predators.

You see... I was the victim of a child molester when I was eight years old, growing up in a nice little town in the 1950's.

I bump it because if it saves one child, it is worth it! Thankfully, it is being talked about now instead of hidden. However, there are people who think it won't happen to their children, because they live in a "good" neighborhood. I live in a good neighborhood and there are a multitude of offenders, mainly because there are a lot of apartment buildings. Also, the majority of molesters are relatives and friends of the family! Disgusting.

I applaud you for your dedication!

Thanks Poochee,

I decided to answer again so we can keep this thread alive.

People are so mistaken that this can never happen to their children... ... This couldn't be farther from the truth!...
Child abusers are everywhere... no matter how good... or bad the neighborhood is...

I plan on keeping it alive. But feel free to bump it whenever you wish.

I don't get a lot of response but over 10,000 have viewed it since I started it. At least it gets people thinking about the subject.
