It really doesn't matter if you think I'm being too sensitive. That's completely irrelevant and it doesn't solve anything for you to say as much. You've already implied that I'm somehow an idiot for defending American Idol and then you imply that maybe I'm just too stupid to follow CSI. I gave you a warning so that maybe AS A FRIEND you would back off on the insults. If I ever went over the line with you, I'd expect you to tell me. And I'd back off.... as a friend.

Oh come one--everyone insults Texas. Wino and Deke live there for Godsakes--that's got to tell you something!
I don't appreciate the implication that I am somehow trailer trash because I live in Texas.

But its a game played at every level and millions of people go to college and root for their teams--college, high school, grade school--sports is what's real life.
Millions of people not only watch American Idol live on TV, they also go to the concerts after the show is over. Not even to mention how music and singing "at every level" affects us all. It is real life to some people. No one's asking you to "get it."

You are reading into this what you want--I don't know it bothers you so much that I think its stupid--that's all I'm saying--I could get millions of people to agree with me the show is stupid. What is the big deal? I think its stupid and you don't think it is.
I'm wondering why you feel it necessary to come in here and broadcast that you think it's stupid? I'm comprehending just fine. Thanks for your concern.

Fair enough, but I would think from our past history, you know I think you are highly intelligent--most of the things we say to each other are "goofs"--90% of what you say to me I know is joking. I just honestly didn't think you would be so sensitive about those comments.

OK--this has gotten out of hand--I made a comment mainly as a joke and to "prod" a few of you in fun--I didn't expect that anyone would get angry over it. I think the show is stupid--so what--that doesn't mean it is and even if it is, that doesn't mean you are stupid for watching it. I readily admitted I watch some show precisely because the humor appeals to the slapstick side of my funny bone. I've never been a fan of music or talent oriented shows ever, so AI never really had a chance with me. I just don't think you should be so concerned with my opinion of your show. I for damn sure wouldn't let anyone else convince me not to watch a show because they thought it was stupid or for any other reason (like the content for example--there are people that think CSI is absolute garbage because of the sexual content, violence, and the like). That's fine--don't watch it, but don't tell me not to watch it and don't try to sensor it. I wouldn't even think about sensoring AI for abuse of idiots they get to make fools of themselves--that's their business. I see no problem at all, its just not entertaining to me.

No, you weren't comprehending that I wasn't insulting you for watching it--you are making the jump that because I think its stupid, that I think you are stupid for watching it--I don't nor did I make such a comment or impliction. That's an incorrect inference that you drew.

When you say something we like is stupid... you might as well be calling us stupid for liking it.

I defend American Idol because there are a bunch of loudmouths who are obviously in the minority (see: liberals) who love to insult it and I feel I can defend it with numbers and facts.

And as far as insults go.... you have to compliment people more than you insult them if you'd like to remain friends.

Yeah, I thought he would go further. Kelly Pickler seems to be coming along.

Chris Daughtry is obviously the superstar from Season 5.

And did you guys know that Katherine McPhee's new single is hitting the radio rotation? I haven't heard it yet....
