Hmm ym, sounds like you may have a bad disc drive there. Either that or you could reset the BIOS on the machine. I know one of those two pcs has a sporatically opening disc drive that seems to open completely at random. Usually when the system is hot from running. I tried changing cables out then the BIOS returned errors saying it did not find the drive, tried removing the battery but that did not reset anything. But a good place to start is resetting the BIOS. As for my issue with dvds, i decided on a new idea. Use a different player so im going to try loading cyberlink powerdvd onto the system. Its an odd issue though because 99% of the time one just loads a program like nero vision and its good. So when i go back were gonna fix the faster pc first cause it will be easier and if it works i will do the fix to the laptop. The laptop is also having problems again with its wireless. Either A. the router is going funny and needs to reboot or b, the software for it needs to run again. Once that is done the pc should be fine.

Hi ntg,

Yes I thought there was some sort of problem with that drive, but wouldn't be able to do anything about resetting the Bios without the screen display, so I think I'll have to put that one aside for now.

Well it sounds like their end made their own progress as today i heard the internet problem was fixed. The guy still has some trouble with a guitar program, im gonna take a look at that when i go back over, Hopefully this copy of powerdvd that i obtained will fix the dvd issue, finally, with the aim issue maybe i will have my sister go on aim and look at that with her on the other end to test. As of now, im just writing a manual for spybot S&D as it seems lavasoft forgot how to make an antimalware program as when i ran it it was full of issues and bugs so i am giving clients spybot until they fix ad aware then i will go back to that. Therefore a manual is needed to be made for spybot (i already have one for avg and zone alarm) and i will keep the spybot one and will have to redo the ad aware one once bugs are fixed in it.
