Hey all how is everyone? I had to fix a few bugs in the new vista installation on my laptop a=and i think im ok now however, its slow so it may be time already for a virus scan and a defrag again. Just find it odd. However, when i loaded aim ad hack i had virus alerts from avg, and i ignored them figuring it was a false positive detection from the installation files. I ignored them but now i am wondering if those files did something. I did clean cookies with ccleaner as it showed them in the temp folder. So im going to run avg scan and i think im gonna tie that with computer associate's e-trust webscanner to see why i am slower than normal. Really it seems that the system gets slow whenever i open the start menu programs which should just pop right up. I could run some scans and try to clean that up. Other than that in terms of errors, so far i have not found one problem in the system yet. Well HAGO

Good morning.....

@Kevin: It's best to post HJT logs in the security forum regularly... AVG doesn't pickup everything.

I fixed the one issue i found with my webcam by reinstalling the webcam drivers (somehow windows did not pick them up right the first time) and i had device manager uninstall the drivers which it then reloaded from the logitech software and sorted the situation in minutes. The other thing turns out to be no problem at all. Rather a silly mistake on my part. Turns out the whole time i had my pc in power saving mode and that was cutting back performance, therefore resulting in the slow performance. I set it to high performance and the problem disappeared. Also i may be putting up a thread in security too for my sister's computer as i have lately noticed that it sporratically is sending/receiving packets over the internet in massive amounts. It goes away when i turn off and on her adapter. I fear a sub7 trojan . I sure hope not so it may be time for a checkup in there soon to see how things are running . Avg reports no problems however, i do not think an hjt log in the security forum will hurt so i can get a more thorough check.
