Ouch! So much for my thoughts of making the "honor roll" this semester.

You win some and you lose some. The honor is in the trying. Hey you passed didn't you!! Besides you did it while taking care of a toddler and doing all the rest that you do. Give yourself a pat on the back--you deserve it.

Thanks OP! I suppose when you have a few too many irons in the fire, something is bound to slip.

Wow....I just looked at the list that shows how many posts each person has and ranks them by number of posts--I'm on page 6!!! Good grief! And I thought I had a lot of posts!!

There's this guy on the radio, Michael Savage(???)....I wonder if that's Lighthouse's real identity. If not, they'd made VERY good friends.

Why does it take so much effort to do something well when things go to pot without any effort at all? It's just not fair...

Oh, and this thought just occurred to me... why does this input box get jacked when javascript is disabled? :P

When JFK said that in Berlin he had the locals laughing for days. A Berliner is also the name for a local doughnut

Since he was clearly reading from a phonetically prepared script ("eesh bin ine burrleaner") they aped him forever in the version of "eesh bin ine Burnardeener" (Ich bin ein Bernhardiner, Bernhardiner is the St. Bernard's dog)

yeah, I know that....the weird part is, through absolutely no conscious thought of my own (although it quite easily could be subconscious, the amount of study I've given to those few decades) I actually wrote that the day before the anniversary off it.

is it possible to shake a physical fist at some discorporeal beings who are having their laughs at my expense?

Yes. Just be sure you've got the right discorporeal beings.

How can you tell if you've got the right ones if you can't see them?

Follow the sound of the laughter, of course.

I'm being constantly blocked. Every time I think I have it figured out, something goes wrong. I'm about *this close* to quitting, but then I'll feel guilty because I spent a fair amount of cash for this stuff. I have reached it....the intersection between 'rock' and 'hard place'.

I think you've found the relationship between David Bowie, Iggy Pop, and Klaus Nomi... and the rest of humanity... just without the flair.

Mmmmmmmmk?

I just noticed (with my weirdness about orderliness) that my post count is 5599 as of this post. I'm disappointed that I missed 5555.
