It seems like nowadays if you look like you are under 30, you are automatically a worthless teenage mother with a B@#$%ard baby (which BTW none of those statements apply, I'm 23, and I've been married for over 2 years, and my baby will be a year next month)...then the old ladies are quick to turn on you like a pack of rabid wolves...try spending a day in my shoes before you judge too harshly!! |
what makes you think I havent?

I am not the only person to say you seem to lack respect which is shown in your posts, I was indeed surprised you could speak of the older generation as you did, they are far wiser and more experienced in life, most of them have lived through a war and I have nothing but the utmost respect for the older generation, seems it's the younger people who seem to have a chip on their shoulders and feel they know everything in life without listening to those who have a greater insight and who only want to help by giving some valuable points which may allow others to see things from a different angle.
I believe we can learn such a lot from our elders and I for one embrace their knowledge and greater understanding of life, they were young once you know, they know the pitfalls of being young mothers with several children to bring up, usually through hardship when money was scarce.
I will always fight their corner as hopefully we will all reach that stage in our lives and I wouldn't like to think I was treated badly due to the ignorance of some.
