LOL! I'm ... well, let's just say "considerably" older than you, ma'am.

Truth is I could never generate the enthusiasm to "get into" beer. In my youth I drank a lot of spirits -- a lot. If you drink beer, you just have to "visit the bathroom" more regularly.

Nowadays I have a drink about two, maybe three, times a year. (NB: not an alcoholic)

Old age is not a free pass and I think that is at least part of Farmgirl's point.

actually my response was with regards to a previous post which had other concerns..this was merely my opinion of the older generation meant as an insight in to their lives, wasn't anything to do with personality traits of any generation, Farmgirl has expressed her wishes to move on from it and I respect her decision so I won't go over old ground

At the end of the day free beer in all the fountains sounds like a good idea
I just don't want to pay for it.

that was a quote I just heard on the Rick Mercer report that cracked me up. He was comparing the election campaigning going on here to what he used to see in high school. Just a bunch of people making outlandish promises ... like that guy that ran for student body president that showed up high for the debate and promised "free beer in every fountain"
